Who We Are

Removing Barriers

For too long, systemic barriers have served to deny people of color full access to the American dream of homeownership and generational wealth. Until we close this gap, we will not see long lasting and meaningful change for communities of color in the United States.

The HomeServices Foundation for Housing Equity is a non-profit 501c3 organization that is committed to increasing homeownership and generational wealth for people of color through education, investment in individuals, financial assistance, and community reinvestment.

Our goal is to intentionally invest in people and communities that have been systemically disenfranchised or otherwise disadvantaged and rethink and redefine the meaning of “equal” by providing strategic aid to communities of color.

As leaders in the housing industry, we are uniquely qualified and well positioned to contribute to lasting, meaningful change. We will continue to focus our efforts on effectuating positive social change through increased minority homeownership and growing diversity in the real estate community that can directly impact our mission.

Our Mission

Increasing homeownership and generational wealth for African Americans and other people of color through:

  • Education – Provide homeownership tools and sound financial practices and planning.

  • Investing in People – Support scholarship, education, recruitment and other programs that increase minority participation and success in real estate careers and entrepreneurial opportunities.

  • Financial Assistance – Down payment assistance, temporary housing, facilitate access to affordable lending networks

  • Community Reinvestment – Strategic partnerships with other organizations that further our mission
